Lathers like cream
Body wash from the store leaves my arms itchy. This bar is different. The lather is thick and the scent is light. No irritation at all.
Our signature bar. Kudzu leaf powder gathered on the farm gives the green color; aloe juice replaces part of the water for a soft, hydrating lather. Scented with a light herbal essential-oil blend.
5.3 oz bar, hand-cut and cured 4 weeks.

Fully cured: hard bar, long-lasting, ready to lather.
Every bar is made cold-process in small batches, then left to cure on racks for 4 weeks. Nothing is melted down from a pre-made base.
Beef tallow, olive oil, coconut oil, aloe vera juice, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, kudzu leaf powder, French green clay, essential oil blend.
Color comes from clays, botanical powders, turmeric, charcoal or indigo, never from dyes.
Cold-process soap is made by mixing oils with lye and letting the two react at room temperature. The glycerin that forms along the way stays in the bar instead of being pulled out, as it often is in mass-produced soap.
Fresh soap is soft and holds extra water. Over the cure, that water slowly evaporates and the bar hardens, so it lathers better and lasts longer in the shower.
Handmade soap keeps its glycerin, which draws in moisture. Let it dry out between uses and a bar goes a long way.

A lot of handmade soap turns to mush within a week. This one is hard and I am on week four with plenty of bar left, kept on the cedar deck.
